beyond the edges
“Beyond the Edges” by: Ramona Todoca
The context of a design education implies formal projects where students are faced with challenges that mimic the ones “in the real world”. But what if those assignments would be seen as >a project? What if students would go beyond the bare minimum requirements and consider each project as a chance for exploration and self discovery as a designer? My posters and postcards ask this question. Both print mediums have “beyond the edges” as a concise message that supports the campaign called “>a project.” Part metaphor part call for action, going beyond the edges suggests things like re-thinking production design, utilizing alternative techniques or even challenging the traditional perceptions of a poster as a flat medium.
